Job title: Product Analyst

Duty Station: Kampala

The product analyst has the responsibility of supporting the company in in their product enhancement and development decisions using quantitative data through market research, analyzing product performance and guiding the product development process. The product analyst has the cross functional role of working closely with the Technical, Commercial and Finance departments to ensure the smooth development and delivery of new products to ensuring revenue growth.

Duties and responsibilities

· The Product Analyst has the responsibility of developing new products following market analysis and competitor analysis seeking out opportunities to take advantage of market demand.

· The Product Analyst has the responsibility to monitor the market, competitor activities, as well as any price movements and make recommendations that will be used in key decision making on pricing decisions.

· The Product Analyst has the responsibility of driving market intelligence through the development of external and internal data sources that improve the business’s understanding of the product’s market, competitor activities, and consumer activities.

· The Product Analyst drives sales by creating specialized business software solutions, tailor-made to the customer's needs.

· The Product Analyst has the duty of producing reports, forecasts and making recommendations to guide investment and business development, based off solid macro fundamentals.

Qualifications and Experience

· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Economics, Business, Finance, Marketing or a related field.

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience in product analysis and product management with a background in either the technical or commercial or finance field with a product focus

· Demonstrated analytical and forecasting abilities with an entrepreneur mindset.

· Ability to interact with various teams within the finance, technical and commercial departments to aid in product development and decision making.

· Proficient in MS Office and database programs and understanding of technical technologies.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
